If you ...Thanks David. I appreciate the feedback.
If you see anyone using something like this idea in the future I'd appreciate hearing about it. Physical space kanban are particularly popular in Brazil because this approach was evangelized by Alisson Vale. Magnets have been seen in Netherlands and Austria and most of the rest of Europe. Sticky Clips was pioneered by David Laribee at VersionOne and doesn't appear to have a lot of traction.

Your approach with background cards that represent trays takes this a step further and may help with a problem encountered in Brazil. Kanban represented by physical space have been observed to discourage adjusting WIP limits. Alisson Vale now regrets promoting this technique so heavily. He says kanban based on physical space is only good for low maturity teams in the initial stages. Magnets and sticky clips have proven more flexible.

What I particularly like about your approach is that it gets back to the roots of physical kanban systems and makes it explicitly clear why this whole method is called Kanban - and why its about much more than just a visual display of work.

Thanks for posting it.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07675789155902475062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714530.post-67853155852406748652012-10-02T12:18:17.277+00:002012-10-02T12:18:17.277+00:00Neat.Neat.Bob Corrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607949324548518770noreply@blogger.com
